Procurement Tip of the Month – Support a Small Local Business and Information on Educational Sessions

Support a small, local business! – Use UF’s Contract for Office Supplies – Office Depot & Mister Paper Business Products

Did you know that UF’s contract for Office Supplies supports a small, local and diverse business?  Office Depot provides the electronic catalog and products, in partnership with Mister Paper Business Products, who handles all deliveries, billing and customer service (returns, exchanges, etc.).  Mister Paper Business Products has been a Gainesville business since 1977 and has had a contractual relationship with the University to provide office supplies dating back to 1998.

A common question about the Office Supply Contract:

Why is there a delivery fee?  The $4.95 delivery fee exists to encourage buyers to consolidate orders, to reduce deliveries/vehicle traffic on campus, as part of UF’s commitment to sustainability.  Deliveries are free for orders of $50 or more.

Vendor Changes:

·         Shred-It is now Stericycle for use in requisitions with supplier number 0000001016.

·         Career Center “TempForce” is now Spherion and this will show on invoices.
